Police arraign night guards for failing duty

The Osun State Police Command on Friday arraigned two night guards, Kehinde Fabowale and Musefiu Alabi for allegedly failing their duty as night guards to prevent burglary and theft of the shop of one Ajala Fasilat.
 

Police prosecutor, Olu Abodunrin told the Court that the night guards failed to use all reasonable means while on night duty at Ita Olokan area in Osogbo on the 8th of January, 2016 to prevent felony. 

He added that the offence committed by the accused persons were contrary to and punishable under section 515 and 517 of the Criminal Code Cap 34 Volume II Laws of Osun State of Nigeria. 2002. 

The two accused persons were represented by different counsels,Mrs AP laide and Chief A O Olodo and both counsels applied for the bail of their clients in the most lenient form. 

The Chief Magistrate of the Court, Mr Olusola Aluko in his ruling,granted the accused persons the bail of N50,000 each with two sureties in like form. 

He added that the sureties must also submit the receipt of their tax clearance and then adjourned the case till the 1st of March,2016.
