Seven die, 11 injured in Gbogan auto crash

Tragedy galore as seven people were said to have been killed in a road accident, which occurred along Gbogan/Ibadan road in the later hours of Sunday.
An eyewitness said that the accident, which occurred at about 5pm on Sunday, involved a Toyota hiace passenger bus and a Siena space bus.
The Toyota passenger bus was said to be moving towards Ibadan, when it lost one of its tyres. The passenger bus subsequently dwarves off its lane on to the lane of vehicles coming from Ibadan to Osogbo.
An eyewitness account revealed that the bus went up in flames, immediately it colluded with the Siena space bus on the other lane after it had lost one of its tyres.
"I think the 18 passengers-bus lost its tyre due to the dilapidated road we are having here because immediately the the tyre went off the bus somersault to the other side and it went up in flames, " one of the eyewitnesses, Femi said.

The Siena bus was said to be carrying two couples, who lost their lives on the spot, while five of the passengers in the Toyota hiace bus who lost their lives, included two siblings who were said to be going to their school in Ibadan.
The Federal Road Safety corp also confirmed the incident through the Sector Commander, Umar Ibraheem.
He said the Toyota Siena space bus, marked JJJ 374 EH, only had two people on board, while five people were killed in the passengers-bus, saying investigation was still ongoing as to what led to the accident.
